Make an impact with PCRS as a Family Counsellor in Surrey, providing vital mediation and conflict resolution support. Help youth and families through home visits and community outreach. PCRS is hiring a full-time Family Counsellor to work 35 hours weekly in the Surrey Youth Hubs. You'll engage directly with youth and families, offering your expertise in family systems, communication, and mediation. This role includes assessing child protection concerns as needed and requires flexible working hours, including evenings and weekends. Key Responsibilities: • Provide brief mediation and conflict resolution support • Assess child protection concerns and report to MCFD • Work collaboratively within the integrated staff team • Facilitate group activities with cultural competency • Support youth and families through outreach efforts Requirements: • Extensive knowledge of family systems and child development • Crisis response skills and trauma-informed practice experience • Experience in mediation and conflict resolution • Cultural competence, especially with Indigenous and South Asian families • Must be available for flexible work hours Leverage your counselling skills and knowledge to support youth and families in Surrey while working with PCRS. #J-18808-Ljbffr
