Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Orthopedics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required. License: Current nursing license required. Certifications: BLS certification required. Must-Have: Charge RN experience required. Previous travel experience required. Description: This position requires flexibility with scheduling. The candidate must be aware that there is a zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences. Compliance requirements include completing a Pass/Fail EKG exam, which is required for all registered nurses regardless of specialty. Consideration will be given to candidates who can work every other weekend. RNs will be required to work Charge RN shifts as needed. The unit provides care to a diverse patient population, including adults and geriatrics. Responsibilities include managing a high volume of orthopedic patients, such as those who have had total joint replacements, fracture repairs, and kyphoplasties. Telemetry monitoring is available for patients on this unit. The department features a physical therapy gym that allows patients to access physical therapy services without leaving the unit. This unit may accommodate patients with higher acuity needs. The position may require floating to other units as needed. ECU management and care for various medical conditions are also part of the responsibilities. Candidates must have experience with managing ports, administering blood products, and providing wound care. The environment supports interdisciplinary collaboration with various healthcare teams.
