Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) performs a variety of therapy procedures and treatments under the direction of the Occupational Therapist, Registered (OTR); assisting clients to improve their ability to perform daily living tasks, basic motor functions and cognitive ability. This position will specifically be covering our Long Term Care Center and our Transitional Care Unit.

Education, Experience and Credentials

  • Associate's Degree from an accredited school in Occupational Therapy Assistant required.
  • One or more years experience as an Occupational Therapy Assistant working with a geriatric population preferred.
  • Must be registered and licensed with the State of Minnesota as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant and must maintain licensure.
  • CPR/First Aid certified through American Red Cross required.
  • Hospice and Medicare Home Care: Possesses a valid driver's license with good driving record, and proof of valid insurance. Must have reliable transportation.

Compensation: An individual's pay rate within the posted range may be determined by various factors, including skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization prioritizes pay equity and considers internal team equity when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical. Shift and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
