Build and repair structures as a full time Carpenter with GORKHALI CONSTRUCTION INC. in Surrey, using blueprints, layouts, and measuring tools.

This permanent, on site Carpenter position focuses on construction maintenance and repair. You will work with wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials. The work includes foundations, floors, walls, roofs, windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
• Prepare code compliant layouts using measuring tools
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join construction materials
• Build foundations, floors, walls, and roof systems
• Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures

Requirements:

• Secondary school graduation certificate
• Two years to less than three years of experience
• Steel toed safety boots
• Ability to perform physically demanding construction work
• Reliability and ability to work as a team player
