Our organization is seeking applications for a Medical Oncologist specializing in Sarcoma. This faculty position provides a unique opportunity to develop and enhance a sarcoma practice within a leading academic medical setting while also managing a comprehensive general medical oncology practice. The selected candidate will become part of a collaborative oncology team situated at a prominent cancer center in the Texas Medical Center. This role integrates patient care, medical education, clinical research, and academic growth in a supportive environment that prioritizes innovation, mentorship, and teamwork.

Opportunity Highlights

  • Faculty appointment available at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Establish and grow a sarcoma-focused practice, initially comprising about 30%-40% of clinical responsibilities.
  • Maintain a diverse general medical oncology practice.
  • Collaborate with a major health system within the largest medical complex in the nation.
  • Enjoy a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient duties.
  • Contribute to the education of medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Engage in clinical research and academic scholarship.
  • Typical work schedule includes 2-3 outpatient clinic days and one academic/administrative day each week.
  • Shared inpatient and weekend coverage, supported by oncology fellows and advanced practice providers.
  • Join a multidisciplinary oncology team dedicated to innovation, clinical trials, and patient-centered care.
