Core Logging Geologist
Neotech Metals Corp. is advancing the Hecla-Kilmer rare earth and niobium project in northern Ontario — a carbonatite-hosted system with significant potential to become a key source of critical minerals for North America.
We're seeking an experienced Core Logging Geologist to join our upcoming fall drill program on a 3-month contract. This role offers a valuable opportunity to contribute to a strategically important project and gain experience in rare earth and carbonatite exploration.
Core Logging Geologist (3-Month Contract)
Location: Ontario | Starting: September 2025
Responsibilities
- Log drill core focusing on lithology, alteration, mineralization, and structure.
- Identify and describe mineralization of rare earths, niobium, and phosphate in carbonatite rocks.
- Assist in sampling strategies and ensure adherence to QA/QC standards.
- Maintain accurate core records, photos, and database entries.
- Collaborate with our technical team in a remote camp environment.
Qualifications
- B.Sc. or higher in Geology, Earth Sciences, or related field.
- At least 2 years of exploration experience with core logging expertise.
- Experience with rare earths or carbonatite systems is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with logging software and digital data capture tools.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Contract Details
- Term: 3 months (September–November 2025), with potential extension.
- Location: Remote camp at Hecla-Kilmer project, Ontario.
- Compensation: Competitive daily rate based on experience.
- Travel: Camp-based, with travel provided.
