About the Role

The business process improvement engineer is responsible for identifying and managing business projects that deliver effective solutions across CMbE's US sites. Acting as a single point of contact for stakeholders, the role focuses on analysing data, conducting business audits, and recommending improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Be a "vehicle of change". This person must be comfortable working with all levels within the organisation. They must be able to question the status quo and be a strong communicator.
  • Map and document existing ("as-is") workflows to highlight pain points, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Will be responsible for leading continuous improvement projects.
  • Support in the design of the future ("to-be") process.
  • Trains, coaches and motivates personnel in the understanding and adoption of new principles and techniques.
  • Validating solution prior to release while consulting with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate project with external contractors and suppliers.
  • Auditing Business process and systems to identify non-conformances and potential improvements.
  • Provide communications of activities to business stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Ability to demonstrate the knowledge of and involvement in business improvement project, preferably in an Engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of Business Systems data flow and architecture.

Required Skills

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or working towards.
  • Project management tools.
  • Data modelling and data visualisation tools.
  • Data Extraction Tools and analysis.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience of project coordination following agile methodologies and working with business systems including ERP, PLM and MES.
  • Including involvement in the design and deployment of new business systems.
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement (CI) activity in a manufacturing environment would be desirable, with ability to follow standard project methodologies such as DMAIC.
