This remote opportunity is ideal for a payroll professional experienced in multi-state processing and UKG Pro. You'll join a dynamic team responsible for executing accurate, high-volume payrolls, supporting various clients across industries. With a strong service mindset, attention to detail, and analytical thinking, you'll play a key role in maintaining compliance and optimizing processes. Accountabilities:
- Accurately process and audit multi-state payrolls for multiple clients, including quarter- and year-end tasks
- Execute and review pre- and post-payroll reports, identifying and correcting discrepancies
- Reconcile payroll outputs, research variances, and process adjustments, manual checks, reversals, and stop payments
- Support the setup of new payroll cycles, including HR and pay data entry
- Assist clients with annual enrollment, testing, and quarter/year-end preparation
- Maintain compliance with internal controls (SOC 1) and service level agreements
- Identify client issues and escalate concerns to the team lead or manager
- Build and maintain strong relationships with client contacts through excellent service and communication
- Experience with multi-corporation, multi-state automated payroll systems and a solid understanding of payroll tax, wage laws, and accounting principles
- Prior hands-on experience with UKG Pro is highly preferred
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a client-focused approach
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with a keen attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
- Collaborative and proactive team player, comfortable working across functions
- Certifications such as FPC, CPP, or SPHR are a strong plus
- Associate's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or equivalent education/experience
