Lead Enterprise IT Audits That Shape the Future of Government The Treasury Board Secretariat is seeking exceptional leaders to join the Ontario Internal Audit Division (OIAD) as a Senior Manager, Enterprise-wide I&IT Audits & Quality Assurance and a Manager, IT Audits within the Enterprise-Wide I&IT Audit Branch. In these roles, you'll lead enterprise-wide IT audits that shape how the Ontario Public Service manages risk, protects critical systems, and delivers trusted digital services. Working at the intersection of technology, oversight, and public impact, your expertise will inform decision‐making at the highest levels of government. You will provide independent assurance and strategic advice on complex, high‐risk I&IT issues, spanning cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, data governance, IT service delivery, and major IT investments while examining risks that cut across ministries and the Ontario Public Service as a whole. What You'll Do In both the Senior Manager, Enterprise-wide I&IT Audits & Quality Assurance and Manager, IT Audits roles, you will lead complex, enterprise‐wide IT audits across the Ontario Public Service. These roles share the same core mandate, leading audit teams, managing the full audit lifecycle, and ensuring high quality, risk‐based audit outcomes in a fast‐paced, high‐accountability environment. You will: Lead the planning, strategy, and execution of enterprise‐wide IT audits, from initial scope through reporting and stakeholder engagement Manage and coach a team of experienced IT audit professionals, supporting their development and ensuring strong performance Develop risk‐based audit plans that address critical and emerging I&IT risks across the enterprise, and review audit work to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established auditing standards Oversee the development of clear, high‐quality audit reports that communicate findings, gaps, and recommendations effectively, and engage with stakeholders across the OPS including senior IT leaders to communicate audit results and drive action on recommendations Manage multiple audits concurrently in a dynamic environment with firm timelines and high expectations for quality, and identify opportunities to enhance audit approaches and service delivery, including proactive control design, while leading or supporting special reviews and investigations related to information technology and systems How the roles differ While both roles are functionally the same, the Senior Manager, Enterprise‐wide I&IT Audits & Quality Assurance provides an added layer of leadership through quality assurance and portfolio oversight. This includes reviewing audit reports and outputs from other Managers before they advance to the Director, ensuring consistency, precision, and alignment with standards, and stepping in to support broader leadership needs across the branch. Meet Your New Team The Enterprise‐Wide I&IT Audit Branch provides specialized audit, risk assessment and advisory service related to Enterprise‐Wide Information Management and Information Technology initiatives. These include cybersecurity, IT service management and delivery, IT project governance and management, and controls and processes to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of government systems and data. In this role, you will report to the Director, Enterprise‐Wide I&IT Audit Branch. Audit Methodologies & Innovation: You stay current with advancements in audit methodologies and apply innovative approaches to strengthen audit effectiveness and delivery. Complex Audit Delivery: You have proven experience leading and managing complex IT audit projects across diverse technologies, systems, and business functions. Emerging Technologies Awareness: You possess advanced knowledge of current and emerging I&IT technologies, tools, and practices, and understand their associated risks and implications. Data Analytics & Tools: You have experience using data extraction and analysis tools (e.g., IDEA, ACL, PowerBI) to support audit insights and enhance decision‐making. Relationship Management and Communication Skills Stakeholder Engagement & Influence: You build and sustain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders, using effective networking and negotiation skills to achieve positive outcomes. Communication & Advisory Skills: You communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively, with strong consulting, facilitation, and presentation capabilities.
