Position Overview
Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Med Surg
Location: Silverdale, WA 98383-7663
Shift: 12-Hour Shifts (Days/Nights – 7:00 AM/PM start)
Schedule: 3x12s (36 hours/week)
Pay: Competitive (WA state tax auto-deduct applies)
Contract: 13 Weeks
Offer Process: Auto Offer (final approval after clinical interview)

Unit Details
- Unit Size: 17–41 beds
- CNA Ratios: 1:8–10 patients
- Common Role: Float/sitter with exposure to multiple patient populations
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 patient observation (sitter role)
- Assist with:
- Vital signs
- Feeding
- Ambulation
- Turning & positioning
- Hourly rounding
- Perform blood glucose checks and basic patient care
- Support nursing staff across various units
Requirements (Must-Have)
- Minimum 1 year of hospital experience (REQUIRED)
- Active Washington CNA License
- BLS Certification
- Strong:
- Flexibility
- Communication skills
- Positive attitude
What You Won't Do
- No IV insertion/removal
- No catheter insertion/removal
Schedule & Additional Info
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Days: Saturday & Sunday
- Nights: Friday & Saturday
- Holiday: As needed
- Floating: Required within assigned hospital and possibly across region
- Orientation: 1 week (3x12s) + EPIC training
- Scrubs: Any color (professional appearance required)
Important Notes
- RTO must be discussed during interview and approved
- Reliable, flexible candidates preferred (new unit rollout environment)
- OT may be available
