GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Warehouse Personnel is responsible for efficiently handling, organizing, and moving inventory within the warehouse environment. They perform a variety of tasks, including sorting, stacking, loading, unloading, and maintaining accurate records to ensure smooth operations and timely order fulfillment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily:
- Sorting boxes by type and brand, ensuring proper organization and easy accessibility of inventory.
- Safely stacking boxes on skids, securely taping top layers, and positioning skids in designated areas within the warehouse.
- Loading trucks as needed and unloading incoming goods, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in the delivery process.
- Hand-loading boxes into trailers, adhering to safety protocols and handling procedures.
- Maintaining records of skids and labels used for inventory management and record-keeping purposes.
- Completing HACCP paperwork to ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations.
- Performing cleanup tasks as necessary to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Scanning pallets into correct locations in the warehouse management system (E21) for accurate inventory tracking.
- Staging, picking, and completing shipping forms and scans in E21, ensuring accurate and timely order processing.
- Shuttle finished products and raw materials between warehouses as required to support production and shipping operations.
- Performing any other duties assigned by the Supervisor to support overall warehouse operations and meet business needs.
SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TOO:
- Lock Out Tag Out
- Do not stack boxes/skids too high or unsafe
- Chock trailers when loading/unloading
- Be very cautious when operating the forklift
- Follow all Food Safety regulations
- Wear hearing protection in all areas of the plant
- Follow all common employee safety practices
- Follow proper procedures when changing propane on forklift
- Wear Seatbelt when driving forklift
- Do not block emergency exits, fire doors or eye wash stations
- Wear all PPE including mandatory slip resistant steel toe shoes
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Bi-lingual is not required but is a plus
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
