Material Supply Planning Manager

Lead production planning and material supply at Maple Leaf Foods' Lagimodiere site, integrating SAP, inventory, and capacity planning. Coordinate execution across functions.

The Material Supply and Planning Manager reports to the Site Leader and serves on the Lagimodiere Site Leadership Team. This manager connects customer requirements, product mix, plant capacity, materials, inventory, and operating constraints. The position leads planners, buyers, and hourly unionized Team Members while partnering with Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Food Safety and Quality Assurance, Reliability, and Sanitation. Experience in production planning, materials management, inventory control, supply chain, or manufacturing operations supports the position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead production planning and develop executable manufacturing schedules
• Translate plans into raw material and packaging requirements
• Identify shortages, capacity constraints, inventory risks, and service concerns
• Coordinate recovery plans when performance deviates from plan
• Communicate risks, impacts, recommendations, and decisions to leadership

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education or equivalent education and experience
• Progressive production planning or materials management experience
• Team leadership and development experience
• Strong scheduling, capacity, material, and inventory knowledge
• Functional experience with SAP planning or related processes
