Expected Rate: $29-30/hour
Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Start date: June 2026
About the Role
We are seeking an energetic and organized City Launcher to support operations, workforce management, and customer experience within the Austin market. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in the field, coaching teams, and helping launch and maintain high-quality operations across a fast-paced environment.
The City Launcher will serve as the local operations lead for their assigned hub, responsible for recruiting, onboarding, training, and supporting onsite support specialists (OSS). This role also includes market support activities such as restaurant visits, test orders, and customer launch coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Hiring & Onboarding
- Source, interview, and hire onsite support specialists (OSS)
- Ensure candidates meet professionalism, reliability, and quality standards
- Manage onboarding and help new hires ramp up successfully
Training & Performance Management
- Conduct initial and ongoing training sessions
- Reinforce operational standards and customer experience expectations
- Evaluate onsite performance during live shifts
- Provide coaching, feedback, and support to improve performance
- Identify high performers and address performance concerns proactively
Operations & Market Support
- Coordinate staffing coverage for launches and ongoing operations
- Support local business growth initiatives and operational projects
- Visit restaurant partners and conduct test orders to maintain quality standards
- Act as the onsite operational representative within the market
Hub Ownership
- Maintain a reliable and high-performing OSS workforce
- Ensure operational readiness and shift coverage across the region
- Partner with leadership teams to identify staffing or operational gaps
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in operations, recruiting, training, hospitality, or field management
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to coach, motivate, and provide direct feedback
- Self-starter comfortable working independently in the field
- Reliable transportation and ability to commute within 30 miles of Austin
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in marketplace operations, gig workforce management, or hospitality
- Experience supporting launches or scaling operations in new markets
