Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical ICU (MICU)
Facility: Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP)
Health System: University of Pennsylvania Health System
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Dates: December 15, 2025 – March 14, 2026
Schedule: Night Shift | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Hours: 36 hours/week (Guaranteed)
Job Description:
The MICU RN provides critical care to acutely ill patients, utilizing advanced clinical skills in a fast-paced intensive care environment. The role requires flexibility, strong critical-thinking abilities, and experience working on contract or travel assignments.
Required Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum 2+ years of recent MICU experience (travel/contract experience preferred)
- Ability to work all scheduled night shifts throughout the 13-week contract
Required Certifications:
- BLS
- ACLS
Compliance Requirements (must be current):
- Background check and drug screen
- Immunizations (COVID-19, Influenza, Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Tdap)
- TB screening
- Skills checklist and competency exams
- License, employment, and education verification
- References and updated resume
Additional Notes:
- Every other weekend required
- Must commit to the full contract duration
