Senior Inventory Specialist, Inventory Control Quality AssuranceLocation: On site at Chantilly, VA; Gilbert, AZ; Phoenix, AZ, or Fredrick, MDDivision: SolutionsJob Posting Title: Senior Inventory Specialist, Inventory Control Quality AssuranceTime Type: Full TimeTravel: Up to 40%This Senior Inventory Specialist, Inventory Control Quality Assurance (ICQA) role is responsible for driving inventory integrity, storage health, and quality excellence across a multi-site 3PL footprint. The position will support sites cross DSV's North American Contract Logistics, High Tech II vertical and influence site operations teams to deliver measurable improvements in accuracy, shrink reduction, and process adherence. Success in this role requires the ability to drive results through indirect leadership and influence, embedding standards and accountability across a highly matrixed operations organization.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesBuild capability and consistency across sites through training, tools, and governancePartner closely with: Site Operations Leaders, Engineering & Continuous Improvement teams & Account Management / Customer teamsInfluence without direct authority to ensure adoption of ICQA standardsDrive network-wide inventory accuracy performance, including Cycle count execution and compliance, Root cause analysis of discrepancies & shrink and missing inventory reduction programsDrive accountability across site operations teams for inventory accuracy KPIsImplement reporting and dashboards to track Inventory accuracy, Adjustments and write-offs & Root cause trendsDevelop frameworks for inventory health management, including Aging inventory, Obsolescence risk & Location accuracyLead development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure consistent execution across sitesImplement structured quality audits and corrective/preventive action processes (CAPA)Lead ICQA-driven continuous improvement initiatives across the networkUtilize data to identify systemic issues and prioritize improvementsDeploy Lean / Six Sigma methodologies to improve: Inventory accuracy, Process reliability & Quality outcomesTrack and report realized improvements and cost avoidanceEnsure alignment between ICQA processes and WMS/LMS systemsDrive enhancements to inventory control and quality reporting toolsPartner with IT and analytics teams to improve visibility and automationUnderstanding of supply chain KPIs and 3PL cost-to-serve modelsStrong knowledge of WMS platforms (Manhattan, Blue Yonder, SAP EWM, etc.)Experience with inventory control methodologies (cycle counting, root cause analysis, audit frameworks)Understanding of storage optimization and warehouse layout principlesSkills & AbilitiesEducation & Experience: Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (preferred) 5+ years in supply chain, logistics, or operations analytics (3PL experience strongly preferred) 4+ years in inventory control, quality assurance, or operational excellence leadership Proven track record improving: Inventory accuracy Shrink reduction Operational quality metrics Ability to lead through influence in a matrixed organization Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis capability Process-oriented with a bias for standardization and scalability Understanding of supply chain KPIs and 3PL cost-to-serve models Strong knowledge of WMS platforms (Manhattan, Blue Yonder, SAP EWM, etc.) Experience with inventory control methodologies (cycle counting, root cause analysis, audit frameworks) Understanding of storage optimization and warehouse layout principlesComputer Skills: Strong computer skills and MS Office Applications.

Familiarity with quality systems and tools (QMS, CAPA, audit frameworks) Proficiency in Excel and data analysis (pivot tables, large datasets) Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) Experience with SQL, data modeling, and data visualization best practices (preferred but not required)Certificates & Licenses: Quality related certifications preferred. Satisfactory completion of forklift training program preferredLanguage Skills English (reading, writing, verbal), Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Mathematical Skills Intermediated level to verify quantities of product, count inventory, or perform other duties associated with handling, storing, and distributing client products.

Other Skills Effective communication skills. Good supervisory and people skills. Ability to develop work instructions, procedures, and visual aids to support the operation. Work extra hours as dictated by business needs. Train and/or certified in common inventory management, methodologies and tools like six-sigma and lean. Ability to develop and sustain effective and energized working relationships with leaders to influence and align people at all levels. Demonstrated ability to teach, coach, mentor, and support project team members to learn and master continuous improvement concepts and skills in an indirect supervisory relationship. Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Must be analytical and result orientated. Must be able to foster continuous improvement.

The expected base pay range is $97,400.00 – $115,000.00 . Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
