Patient Care Technician-Iicn- 16hr Night Shift - Women And Families Campus

Provides direct and indirect patient care duties under the guidance and direction of the registered nurse. Responsible for implementing components of the plan of care through the initiation/completion of procedures relating to basic human, mental health and social needs; comfort, safety and emergency measures; activities of daily living; personal care needs; nutrition and fluid needs; and elimination needs. Measures vital signs, performs ECGs, venipuncture, IV placement, capillary blood glucose testing, and unit secretary, patient transport, and environment of care duties.

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Required. Other: Successful completion of Nurses Aide or Medical Assistant Training and Competency Evaluation program, EMT training program or Nursing student with satisfactory completion of Nursing 101 clinical or equivalent clinical rotation Required. Experience: 1 year experience in a related patient care role Preferred. Licenses: Basic Life Support Required.
