Senior Geologist for Heavy Oil Projects

Cenovus Energy is seeking a Senior Geologist in Calgary to advance conventional heavy oil development. Collaborate in a multi-discipline team while optimizing reservoir plans. As a Senior Geologist, you will report to the Alberta Geoscience Manager and will focus on enhancing strategic development in line with Cenovus business objectives. Your expertise will drive project efficiency, including geological evaluations, land assessments, and mentoring junior staff. Contribute significantly to long-range planning and budget evaluations to support project success. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct geological evaluations using core data and well logs • Provide technical insights for project strategies and planning • Present technical recommendations to leadership during reviews • Evaluate land opportunities for acquisition and development • Mentor junior geologists and promote effective collaboration Requirements: • Legally authorized to work in Canada • B.Sc. in Geology with 12+ years of experience • APEGA registered or equivalent in geoscience • Proficient in industry-standard geoscience software • Proven experience in prospect generation and project management Drive impactful geological strategies that enhance Cenovus's resource development in Calgary. #J-18808-Ljbffr
