Unit Profile
The purpose of a unit profile is to help provide an exceptional understanding of the unit. Profiles will include location, number of beds, patient rations, and other unique details to assist recruiting professional in effectively and efficiently identifying highly qualified staff. Below you will find a data collection tool to help you identify essential data needed to complete your profile. I have also included a sample of a completed profile for your reference. Typical hiring profile
Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs, local CNAs and sitters) Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Pacu experience ACLS and PALS Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first. Pediatric experience Adult experience List typical procedures performed on unit(s): Recovering pediatric patients and completing phase I and phase II Will be exposed to recovering adult patients, but primarily pediatric
Dress Code: Include requirements, but most of all not acceptable attire. Scrub Color - light blue or dark blue
Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines. Must be available to take call
Awards/Recognition: Feel free to include items such as links to videos that feature the department, outstanding department/team awards, reigning annual chili cook-off winners, etc.
Any additional information that would entice a worker to select your unit for their assignment: Consider items such as new equipment or technology, tenure and experience of staff, schedule options, etc. Remember it is a very competitive market any information you can provide will help attract talent. All staff is experienced and has been in PACU for a while. They are welcoming and are team orientated.
