WHAT YOU WILL DO

The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate the delivery of Hyundai automobiles from the factory to the Dealerships. Assist Distribution Manager on operations related to all HAC vehicle movements, track and report on logistics costs and ensure strong relationship management with 3rd party logistics provider.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Coordination of vehicle logistics functions for timely import, receipt, storage and transportation of vehicles to dealers nationally.
  • Identify, analyze and resolve any issues that impact the timely and efficient delivery of vehicles to dealers.
  • Execute pre-shipment plans of unallocated vehicles to compound.
  • Regular tracking of logistics KPI's to be met by 3rd party logistics partner.
  • Monitor inventory levels at the compounds: ensure vehicle dwell time remains within acceptable parameters.
  • Assist the HAC Regional and National staff as required in relation to vehicle movements.
  • Process all transportation related invoices, and maintain a summary of expenses.
  • Track and report on all logistics related expenditures and develop and present recommendations for optimization.
  • Assist in planning and implementing improvements to the logistics/invoicing systems and processes.
  • Assist in the implementing contingency to account for any disruption in logistics network.
  • Maintain ETA Lead time in the system and measure vehicle arrival ETA accuracy.
  • Arranging company car movements for (PR/Demo/Events/Lease).

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Completion of an undergraduate degree in business, logistics, supply chain... or an equivalent combination of experience and education
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in same or similar function with automotive experience being desirable.
  • Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
  • Well-developed business acumen.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Sound written and verbal communication skills.

  • Working knowledge of MS Office, SAP.
  • Korean language as asset.

Hiring Range : $70,300-$89,000.

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
